Madhu Pandit Dasa always wanted to construct a temple which is very unique, particularly in a way with which it would attract the attention of the youth towards our rich heritage & culture. As the West has always fascinated the young generation, Madhu Pandit Dasa and his team decided to integrate the western architectural elements along with the traditional basics and create a unique temple design.
With this blue- print in mind, Madhu Pandit Dasa started searching for the architect who can help him in materializing his dream. He met different people communicated his ideas but they could not blend these two elements together and give it the shape he wanted.
In 1990, he decided to take up the assignment himself and one of his old friends; Jagatchandra Dasa who is also a design graduate from IIT helped him to design the entire architecture of Iskcon Bangalore. They first decided on how they want the temple to look from outside and then did the functional design fitting in everything inside. The unique combination of glass and Gopuram, blended modern and traditional elements together. Considering the nature of the sloping rocky Hillock, this unique concept was further developed architecturally into the present design as it stands by Madhu Pandit Dasa and Smti. Iskcon Bangalore temple is one of its kinds which offer a matchless spiritual experience to a visitor with its striking ambience. The Temple complex have all the facilities planned out right from lecture halls, theaters, library, devotional paraphernalia shops, prasadam counters, prasadam stalls, huge kitchens, book godowns, book publishing wing to halls for samskaras or marriages.
Madhu Pandit Dasa and his team have made the people of Bangalore feel proud of this unique structure which has been successful in fascinating people from different corners. Today, Iskcon Bangalore is a notable place for the visitors to come and know about our rich Vedic culture and heritage.
It is indeed disappointing and unfair that a person with such is now being accused of being a fraud.
